did you wanna know why that does'nt happen often?
because fighters doubt their abilities, and if they lose, they will be known as second place to the guy that beat them and it will lower their income

unless your roy jones or mike tyson where when you actually get beat now everyone wants to see the rematch because they finally found someone that can put up a fight

Money. The sport has become so hypocritical towards fighters that their history they made today, will be half of what it is in the future. Only the old schoolers seem to get the respect they deserve anymore and even they are suspect in some peoples eyes. Show me the money!

or course the money. right now in cali you need every buck you can get; so damn expensive here. but i guess if your good enough, the money will be a by product of your success unless you hand pick your opponents and have a perfect 0 Or talk your way to fights that you havent earned.

how does either make history?
and you can always fight both.. you don't have to chose one over the other.
calzaghe lagged it for the major part of his career..
he could of fought a prime roy and he would have got double the money and double the credit.

Money, of course. Who ever says otherwise is a ****** that has never boxed or took a beating in their life, imo. If you're gonna be getting hit and possibly putting your life on the line just to eat and have your family live a good life then why not get paid the most that you can? anything can happen in that ring, get paid and get out.
