Respect is due for Andre "S.O.G" Ward

After watching his fight against El Pantera, I have come to the conclusion that he is the real deal and a complete boxing package. That night he showed the world (Showtime anyway) that he could box against a puncher, he could box going backwards, he could throw combos going backwards, he showed great lateral movement, he SWITCHED stances several times during the fight and was effective (although more when in southpaw), he ****** away while on the inside, he clinched effectively (although the last round a bit too much), he throws combos effectively while not wasting energy, great conditioning and I did not see him lose focus or composure when he got hit by those right hand bombs.....I see Ward being a "real" champ by next summer....and dare I say....maybe even unify the super middleweight division.

punch, clinch, punch, clinch, punch, clinch. When do we get to see him punch a couple of times before clinching? When did boxing get ufc rules? And I thought clinching was only allowed when your hurt, not used as a tactic...

Clinching IS a part of boxing....(Mosely vs. Margarito) as it is a strategy mostly used by "smaller" fighters against "punchers" to smother/ lessen their punching power. Ward was putting on a clinic against Miranda showing that he knew how to take away Miranda's punching ability while taking minimal damage. Pavlik and Abraham didn't do this against Miranda and they both ended up going toe-to-toe with Miranda (Pavlik had better success) and were able to score TKOs....but the performance by Ward in my eyes was more credible than those victories....ALL it takes is ONE shot to KO someone, be it a lucky shot or well calculated, but not everyone can BOX a puncher for 12 rounds AFTER a headbutt in the 1st round. If i'm not mistaken....Floyd clinches ALOT when facing inside fighters, again to smother and take away their power.
Watch the fight again....you'll see Ward 4 hit combos, 3 hit combos, even a 7 hit combo (I think the 7th or 8th round) when Miranda was on the ropes, and all landed flush. What fight were you watching?

You smoking that bad **** man, he was a boring mother ****er. Biased Californian you are. I won 200 points because Ward won, but the mother ****er was boring as hell. And Abraham in the rematch with Miranda put on a clinic since Miranda only was able to his Abrahams gloves.

C'mon man he wasn't boring. He had crazy hand speed and whipped Miranda with shots early on and they both tired into the later rounds. Hearns and Hagler punch output don't come all that often especially with the boxing recruitment of today.

Biased? I'm far from that...I respect skills. Ward showed a full arsenal that night. Boring to who...you? Why, becuase he didn't go for the KO when other fighters have KOd Miranda? Becuase his gameplan was to "show" the world he was a complete fighter? I think it shows great focus when you get headbutted in the 1st round and stick to your gameplan and not get reckless and try to go for the KO. Fighters like Ward are hard to find nowadays....everyone just wants to go for the KO and end up getting KOd themselves...or just end up having a padded record.
Oh...and I never smoke that bad ****....lol!

Miranda believes he is a religious man too, but I think he was about to try to cheat to win with bbp's new topic with su****ious stuff coming from Mirandas camp.
