Meh. Put a prime Tyson in the ring with a UFC fighter, with those tiny little gloves, and the manslaughter charge will be proof enough.

I do agree tyson would probs kill any1 he hit, but also try put tyson in a leg/ankle lock and see how long he lasts then

What that guy fails to realize is that casual fans are the people that make a sport popular not the hardcore fans, and that is not just with MMA, its the same scenario for the sport of Boxing.

Its the guy who generally does not watch Boxing who is telling his mate that he has been watching 24/7 and he is going to be buying the Pac v Hatton PPV that matters, they are the ones that bring money and make it a global event.

..........so if you are not AS appealing to the casual fans, then you will not generate a bigger fan base. Its okay saying that you need to understand the ground game and what they are doing, but the bottom line is the casual fan watching is only seeing two grown men rolling around on the floor.

Boxing is not without its fighters that only the majority of purists can appreciate, but there are also a lot of fighters with less talent who's only way of making it in the sport is by standing toe to toe and trying to get the job done by KO. Tyson,Gatti,Foreman etc etc.

PPV sales will tell you which sport is more appealing to the casual fans, and its not the sport where they roll around on the ground.
