Manny was just fighting at 130 only a year ago. now he's supposed to just baloon up 17lbs in a year, 2 weight classes and expect to fight the P4P #1 welterweight in the world.

If manny fights welterweight, again, he's probably going to step in the ring below 150, while Mosley could possibly come in at 160. Theres an obvious difference of weight there. A catch weight would seem reasonably fair for the two.

Yea, but Roach has stated many times that Manny cannot make 135 anymore and it killed him to make it when he did. 140 and above is his natural weight now. If theres going to be a catchweight make it at 145, at least then it's not too much of a drop for Mosley and not too much of a rise for Manny. 142 is too much of an advantage for Pac in my view..

I think Roach said 130, because Manny only fought once at 135. 145 might be ok for a catch weight. I think theyre only concerned of Mosley being more than 5+lbs than Manny during fight night. Pacquaio came in at his heaviest 148 during the Hatton fight. Mosley is expected at least 155+

            No it was 135:

"Manny's been getting bigger all the time, he's getting older, getting thicker, and he had trouble making weight," Roach said. "Even in the Diaz fight, the day of the weigh-in we had to lose two pounds. He told me then we're not fighting at '35 again. He said we had to move to '40. Then when this fight came about, when you [media] guys started talking about this, at first I thought no way, I thought it was unrealistic.

Pound-for-pound king, a five-division titlist and a throwback to the golden era of boxing, Manny Pacquiao is doing it all inside the ring.

He's a natural 140lber. Therefore a Mosely or even Cotto fight at 145 is fair but anything lower than that is too much of an advantage for Pac.

The problem is, Oscar has to make the dream fight believable to the paying public. Pacman just fought once at 135, and making him move up 19 pounds north is just too much. Pacman moved 12 pounds up, and Oscar came down 7 pounds and they met at 147. Plus Oscar was a huge draw, which we couldn't say the same for Mosley...

If not, fight the guys at 140. Im sick of Roach picking guys that he knows Manny can beat or makes them kill themselves making weight so Manny has a better chance of beating them. It's not fair plain and simple. Roach won't let Manny go back down to 135 even, because it kills him to make that weight anymore. But it's okay for big guys to drop down to 142 to face Manny? F*** off Roach.

I know it hurts, but next time, put some pillow on it to cushion the impact somewhat.

First of all, Manny didn't start his career at 140, he moved up 9 divisions to get to 140. he is at the tailend of his career and fighting at 140 is probably his optimum weight.

Second, Cotto and specially Mosley are the ones who's calling out Pacquiao to fight them. Is there an unwritten rule out there for any current # 1 P4P boxer to fight all comers at their respective weight divisions? They want Manny, then they should come and get him.

And lastly, If they can't accept Roach's terms, then they should fight someone their own size. It is that simple...

Same day weigh-in if the fight is at 147, since both boxers has to make 147 at some point. An hour and a half before the main event would probably be acceptable to Freddie Roach. Roach and Pacquiao couldn't care less if they gained 50 pounds before the fight, as long as they made the weight limit...
