    Roy Jones fighting style

I been watching alot of his fights in the past and he violates every rule that my trainer says not to do..yet why is he so good? He keeps his hands down 90% of the time yet he wins the fight without cuts and bruises. He does strange uppercuts its like a swing uppercut and yet he can knock an opponent out with it...its strange and yet hes my idol i would love to have his style in boxing yet its wierd how much things he does in the ring that you SHOULDN'T do and
is it just me or does he have long reach?i cant really tell..whats your thoughts on his fighting style

    sorry for the bad grammar

Youre not going to see another rjj in your lifetime. He was athletically so far ahead of his time it wasn't funny. So far ahead that he got away with ignoring boxing fundamentals.

thats what happens when a world class athlete does boxing. Imagine if most NFL cornerbacks or linebackers were in boxing. I'm not saying they would be as good but thats the kind of athleticism that Roy had.

I've been sitting back watching some of his classic fights too.. Man, it's just unbelievable how quick he was and them powerful, chopping punches he would break them down with...Not to mention the show he would put on in the ring like the windmill punch..lol

I just watched the Merqui Sosa fight, who said roy couldn't ****. Damn he could exchange when he wanted to. That version of roy was very very special.

Jones vs richard hall is where he really put the windmill in effect..I suggest watching Jones-Telesco also..It was a entertaining fight of back and forth **** talking.
