Will Cotto be BETTER, WORSE, or SAME without Evangelista?

OK..as the fight gets closer the fact that Cotto will no longer have the only trainer he's ever had with him that night has been pretty much ignored as of late..All we know is that Cotto is now with Santiago and he's training in FL..

I saw somewhere that Cotto is now studying tapes..he's never done that..Evangelista did that for him..and told Cotto how to defend or press the attack..it that a plus or a negative??..

on top of that Santiago..from what I know is a Fitness Expert/Nutritionist..how's that gonna help Cotto?..

Basically I'm thinking that Cotto is basically training himself and using Santiago to not be in his way..since he's new to the team and more than likely a YES man...

How will Cotto manage come fight night?..will he look like the SAME ole' Cotto..or will he be BETTER or WORSE?..

    Haters are WELCOME!..

I definently think it will hurt him(maybe not drastically). I know he's brought a new trainer in so I don't know how that guy is.

I don't think it'll affect his match with Clottey too much. Clottey doesn't have some kind of unique or awkward style really.

Landman is the nutritionist/fitness guy, not Santiago as far as I know.

I think Cotto will be pretty much the same, but the fact that he's now watching film can only be a good thing.

We'll see. I think it helps him. To not have to worry about personal conflicts has to help.

according of what people yhat know Cotto in PR, they say that in training use to be Cotto in one corner by himself and evangelista in another side training other boxers, that's why he don't want to go to FL. I think that Cotto won't have more presure because his relationship with his uncle was down the drain.

Today at a Madison Square Garden press conference, to hype Cotto’s Puerto Rican Day Parade bout on June 13 against African Joshua Clottey, Cotto revealed the name of his new tutor.

No, it’s not Miguel Diaz, as many have guessed.

                    It’s Joe Santiago.

                    Joe Santi-who now?

Joe Santiago, who joined Team Cotto a couple fights ago, as a nutritionist/fitness expert, will train Cotto, for now anyway, as Miguel reserves the right to have another trainer take the lead.

“I will take a week to think about it, I’m not sure yet, I have to think,” said an ultra-reserved Cotto to a group of press. He will start training in Tampa on Wednesday, and he said that his desire to get out of Puerto Rico, and be free from distractions, caused him and Evangelista to reach a boiling point.

Santiago has trained some up ‘n comers in Cotto’s native Puerto Rico. Cotto said some big guns have contacted him about taking over Evangelista’s duties, but he chose not to share names. “I prefer to keep things in the family, and Joe is part of the family,” he said.

Maybe he had 2?..lol..but I agree on the tapes part..but he is inexperienced in doing that..so it can be a negative too..might focus too much in one part and neglect another..etc..
