true, but was lazcano just a beast or was the guy he was sparring working on something?

He was sparring a prospect whos name escapes me at the moment. He went off, in a way i never saw in his actual fights. In comparison to how i would see him when he eventually fought jose luis castillo, he was out there lookin like a pac.

My point is that in sparring, your job is to emulate and practice. Its like how people ripped mayweather for bringing in carlos baldomir for sparring against hatton. It doesnt matter what baldomir fights like, the goal is to work on **** and gameplan, you do that with someone who serves as a dummy.

Its only when your Oscar de la hoya getting a black eye from victor ortiz and beating from ivan calderon, then you should be worried.

That was well put El Jesus. I didn't think of it like that, shed new light to temperments and character in sparring and the ring.

        Peace.

thats setting floyd up for failure. zab isnt a quarter of the fght that pacquiao is. Just because zab is fastand can punch, doesnt mean he can help prepare floyd for pac.

listen. what they do is this. Roger mayweather would tell Zab to stand a certain way, and throw a certain punch, and do it over and over for a few days, then when they work on something in particular, they have zab stand another certain way, and have him do that. Likely during this, mayweather will do nothing more than work on a specific counter for whatever Zab is doing, its sparring not an actual boxing match.
