What the feck was he thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my good God I couldn't believe my eyes. Was away all weekend, recorded the British Commonwealth Heavyweight title fight (Rogan v Sexton) on Friday night and only just watched it there now.

    Anyone watch it?

Rogan was told at the end of round 7 that the fight might be stopped because of his eye and went out in the eighth like the Rogan of old (he was taking his time in the previous rounds).
he had Sexton f.ucked, completley f.ucked, standing against the ropes hands by his side, eyes all over the place (and before that Sexton just turned his back on Rogan and stood in the corner looking at the post ffs!) , and instead of KHTFO like he should, he looked to the ref to stop the fight, he didnt, and then about 10 seconds later the ref stopped it because of Rogans eye (was completley closed over, couldnt see out of it).

Fair play to the big man, he didnt want to kill him, but he's got a job to do, and when your told this is probably your last round, u make damn sure u f.ucking finish him if you get the chance.

Parris is the worst ref I've seen. Let Sexton head butt at will, let Sexton turn his back on Rogan a few times so he couldnt hit him, and then warned Rogan for throwing a rabbit punch (what the f.uck are u supposed to do if your opponent turns his back on u!), and took too long letting them fight after he broke them up (thats probably because the fat bald **** cant move any quicker).

rogan showed a bit of class in defeat, just said the BBBC should look at referring but he must know he's only got himself to blame really.
i think i invented a few new swear words watching the 8th and last round. Unbelievable.
    A re-match HAS to happen.

    Any thoughts?

Rematch will never happen. Dave Parris was always a **** ref. That stoppage of Calzaghe Manfredo was even worse. Rogan should have finished him though.

if rogan doesnt get a rematch I hope he gets a shot at Danny Williams, but I really really want to see a pissed of Rogan take Sexton out in 2 rounds. The only two rounds he went for it and fought like he did against Skelton and just went hell for leather Sexton was all over the place and couldnt deal with it.
I think Rogan wanted to show Belfast he could box as well as brawl. Wasnt the only bad decision he made on Friday night.
I'm still a fan of Rogie, and I'd bet everything I own he'll never make a mistake like that again.
        War Rogan!

It was a BS fight, Rogan deserved to win that fight.

Before I saw the fight I was hearing that Rogan was kicking his ass, but somehow the other dude won by TKO. I was like man I gotta see this, this going to be some Corrales-Castillo **** or what? So I watched it and it was nothing that I expected, Rogan deserved to win that fight.

Rogan all the way, but that's ok i think. he'll have plenty of times to show what he's got. and maybe he'll learn to be a little more fierce and less "caring". all in all, this experience will make him a better fighter IMO.

he was ranked over Haye by the way as no. 1 HW of the UK. that's pretty cool. he'll get a world title shot pretty soon, i'd like to see him fight Samuel Peter tho. that'd be a good fight.

The referee didn't do anything wrong.
The ring doctor stopped the fight and if the big ugly Rogan is lacking brain to finish his job, then it's obvious he's lacking a professional attitude in the ring.
Let him retire and go back taxi driving.
What's more annoying is all blind rogan fans who can't see that their man lacked ability to finish off the other fighter.
You all wanted the referee to stop the fight at that moment, a usual UK **** stoppage. The referee should stop the fight if the other fighter is completely unable to continue and that was not the case here.
As a side note, neither fighter, Sexton or Rogan. are of any class and would be severely beaten in an encounter facing any of the top 20 fighters in Europe

Concidering I said he was an idiot for not knocking him the **** out I'll assume thats not aimed at me

Oh, and Rogan already knocked the European champion out. He would have been the European champion had Skelton not been a **** and changed his mind last minute and not put the belt on the line.

PS all the good heavyweights are European!

Rogan is terrible and wasnt exactly destroying the no name he was in against. In fact he lost several rounds by simply being outlanded. Plus he was stunned a couple times. I will agree that the way the fight ended was ****ty, but I was ready for it to be over due to round after round of biased announcing in favor of how amazing Rogan and his story was. **** that got old after a round. Im also not convinced Rogan would win a rematch. He is so limited that if the other guy had any kind of punch at all he would have stopped him.

Was not a very good call by the ref.
Rogan was a few hits away from knocking him out, i believe if he would have gone another round, Sexton would have crumbled.
