    Shane Mosley vs Kostya Tszyu

In theory, this fight could have happened if Mosley hadnt skipped over from lightweight straight to Welterweight.

would have been a great fight, who would have won?

Most people will probably say Mosley off the bat, but imo Kostya was a bad style matchup for him. dont forget that Mosley was pretty one sidedly beaten by Vernon Forrest, and Tszyu did school Forrest(although in the amateurs, so that shouldnt count too much)

Tszyu had fantastic timing, and generally held up very well against guys that relied on their speed and aggressiveness.
I think it would look a little bit like the Cotto fight actually. the way Cotto fought in that fight is comparable to the way that Tszyu generally fought.

would have been interesting as hell, but I'll take Mosley. Tszyu is a really solid fighter but not the world beater he was made out to be when he was the man at 140. Not sure how a guy whose best win was an undefeated Zab Judah is considered so great, especially when you consider he was knocked out by Vince "who the ****" Phillips.

a tough fight that wouldve been an ATG matchup but I lean towards Mosley because he has the speed to give Tszyu fits while also having the strength and inside ability that also gives Tszyu fits. Tszyu wouldve landed alot on Mosley also though. It wouldve been a war

stop dissin my boy. Thats still his only loss at 140. I still wouldnt be shocked right now if he went down and beat everyone including Pac. He's just like Floyd in that he went to WW but comes in the ring at 147 pounds in every fight. No way he's going to beat a Cotto & Clottey who are 162-170 pounds on fight night. People sleep on Zab but at 140 he was the real deal so I think thats a better win then you give him credit for although I still think Zab couldve won that fight if he was smarter

Zab has the talent to be one of the top 3 fighters on the planet, but the brain didn't come along for the ride.

Tszyu beating Zab was huge at the time, but he's been beaten so much since, and by less than spectacular guys (Spinks? Baldomir?) that it's not a great win anymore.

well, Judah did lose to Baldomir about 4 or 5 years after the Tsyzu loss. guys that rely almost entirely on speed and phsyical gifts start to fall off pretty quick once they get close to 30(if they have nothing else to fall back on), so you could say that the Judah that Tszyu beat was better than the Judah thats been losing against all the top Welterweights around now.

one thing about Judah is that he almost always gives a good account himself in his losses. he busted Cotto up pretty good, technically dropped Mayweather and gave Clottey and Baldomir pretty close fights too.
            not everyone can say that.

Baldy? Ify but I still say that Baldy was way better then people give him credit for. I wouldve given anything to seen him fight Margarito at that time instead of Floyd. Spinks was a beast. He's past it now and probably is one of those guys who will never be the same once they moved up but at WW he was a bad boy. A poor man's Sweet Pea to me and I still had Zab even winning the 1st fight. Thats why I disagree with everyone saying that Zab fades. He really didnt do it until he fought big guys which you could easily just flip it and say that they wore him down. He's always going to start fast against guys like Clottey & Cotto but he doesnt have enough size to keep it up once they catch up to his speed and figure out his Southpaw style. Floyd was just too good. Still, I would like to see how he does at 140.

Thats why I disagree with everyone who says that he doesnt deserve another shot. Hardly No one wouldve beat Floyd, Cotto, Clottey, Spinks twice, and Tsyzu and again, I still think Baldy was better at the time then people give him credit for. He had strength and a chin out of this world combined with very good boxing skill. No other guy at 140 wouldve won those fights, e****aly when they didnt gain any weight. Zab could easily be done right now and be a pure bum. I too think he's an idiot. However, he also could be a guy that will be a beast again at 140 where he belongs and I think we could see that very soon if he gets his shot

Mosley by KO if Tszyu is anything less than 110%, otherwise Mosley by decision. And he'd of beat him in the amateurs by decision had he not ran into Vernon Forrest.

Tszyu could be mauled. And you don't get much better at doing that than Shane Mosley. Tszyu wasn't as elusive as Cotto is, not hardly. Not to mention Mosley was already past his prime in the Cotto fight, had a busted nose before the fight even started, and a terrible fight strategy to boot.
