Thats a good point, he also had the IQ to know to stay home when the real fighters are in their prime, then fly over when they hit 40.

Hopkins is the master at this, he doesn't have one outstanding physical attribute like Power, Workrate etc.

His boxing brain is exceptional, he is the smartest fighter today. IMO even above Mayweather, Mayweather has exceptionally fast hands. Hopkins has fast hands but they are not exceptional he's gotten this far by being smart and keeping in shape.

Joe is also a very smart fighter in the middle of a fight. Hopkins has several plans before a fight and sticks to them. Joe doesn't really have plan A, B, C his father isn't a good enough trainer Joe adapt mid fight.

        To answer TS Hopkins..

Blah blah... Dude, I don't need to hear your rants. I like Calzaghe. Been a fan since the Eubank fight. Quit trying to change my mind, it won't work. Thank you.

Alot of people make a big deal about the age thing in hopkins and jones, but at the end of the day calzaghe wasnt exactly young himself, and hopkins is still ranked number 3 p4p. Maybe calzaghe could have fought in the US earlier, but he chose not to, not the end of the world in my opinion.

Oh yeah, especially when you consider the state of judging in boxing.

I have never denied Joe is talented and world class, but when his ex's come on here talking about him being the best adaptor in boxing, I say two things.

                    1) Against Who?
                    2) What adaptions is he making?

I agree with this post. Judging has changed in boxing bit time.

And then 2nd question usually exposes most of his newbie fans.
