Personally I dont think Steroids are the silver bullet they are made out to be , you cant sit on the couch and take steroids and become this monster , Ive found with animals on anabolic steroids that they rebound from hard training better which intern allows you train them harder and this is the real benefit they still got to do the work , the flip side in combat and p4p is they make you hot and you retain water and wouldnt suit the lower weights ,,,,, yes they help but they are no magic weapon the media make them out to be .

Did Holy use them to pack on mass probably , but really so what , he was a great fighter and that wasnt because of steroids .

Yeah, he probably did. Whether it taints his legacy depends on how long he's taken them, it calls into question all that he did but we can't just dismiss what he has done throughout his career because we don't know how long he had been taking steroids

An interesting note is that there are different types of steroids, some such as the type james toney took, assist in recovering injuries and the like

It definitely taints. I have little respect for Mosley as well becase of this. With Evander, I never liked him anyway until his recent geriatric run. He NEEDS roids now lol.

Actually I don't think he took anabolic steroids, but used HGH for awhile.

I think he was trying to cover his own ass with comments like "I didn't take them, but I heard Mike Tyson did". Like "oh even if I did, my biggest victory came against a juicer, so it evens out".

I think some of his health issues were related to his HGH use. According to doctors, his problems after the first Michael Moorer fight were very consistent with HGH use.

But they don't test for HGH. They asked him if he used HGH, Holyfield said no, and that was that.

No your right , there are lots of different types , most spoken about for enhancement are the Anabolic the others you mention are Corticosteroids like anti-inflammatorys like Dexamethazone and Prednisolene , some fighters use these for needling hands , they also close the capillaries and make cuts bleed less .
