SSM got a good jab when he bothers to use it, he just don't do it often. No way that 1 punch dramatically changes him as a fighter.

He still has a decent jab. He can measure his opponents with it before he drops his right hand over the top.

yeah, shane is just used to overpowering and overspeeding his opponents

It's funny more than one guy that's fought him has said he doesn't hit terribly hard. He actually seems to have improved in that department lately but there was a while there where he wasn't even fazing guys you'd think he'd blitz.

he hits hard enough to have a very high KO percentage

                  Sure he does.

Just telling it from the perspective of guys who fought him and didn't get knocked out.

Thought it was an interesting point.

I think a solid jab with a little more head movement would have definitely improved his technique. However, I think just the lack of throwing more combinations to the body as back in his light-weight days is what he should’ve gone back to. He was a monster body puncher that threw combinations that ripped through his opponents. Then he went to welter and decided to going in to that “Power-Boxing “(whatever that is) as he called it and drifted away from his original style.
