Me either. The only uppercut I remember Jennings even throwing was in the fifth round. It didn't land and Jennings ended up being hit with a counter left hook that had him rocked against the ropes.

Clottey actually has very good power. His knockout percentage isnt eye popping, but thats mainly because of his lack of workrate. If he even halfway threw as many punches as Cotto, he'd have a lot more knockouts.

Now i defended Cotto's chin from the moment people started doubting it, its not shaky, its not weak, theres nothing wrong with it BUT i beleive Clottey can hurt him! If they stood and traded punch for punch Clottey would come out on top in my opinion even tho Cotto is the better puncher slightly.

With that said im expecting Cotto's skills, variety and greater imagination to see him through a tough fight on points. Clottey takes breaks and Cotto has that steady work rate. Cotto will box for the most part but know when to Fight and really mix it up in there

Some other factors to consider are Cotto has had this fall out with his uncle and trainner and will not have him in his corner, we dont know how this will effect Miguel. He is trainning away from PR for the first time to my knowledge anyway, which may throw him but that should all be negated by the fact he has "home" advantage at The Garden on the Eve of PR Day Parade.
Clottey is hungry for this tho and wants it BAD!

TAKING ANY BETS ON CLOTTEY WINNING, name ur bet i got Miguel
Good post Surg, I remember someone saying Clottey is feather fisted and pillow fisted.

I see Clottey hurtin Cotto before vice versa. Fight should go 12 tho, nobody's gettin KO'd.

That's why I don't look at the record. I was saying before, Kendal Holt has power, but people were mislead by his record, then he drops Bradley twice.

But Yeah, I am a fan of both guys, more so a Cotto fan, but I am just happy this fight is happening. I got Cotto by UD, but it will be a rugged fight.

here's the deal with Clottey's power IMO. downstairs he's a B grade puncher, better than most but overall he is a crisp shocker at best. He surprises people with his hand speed but does not possess big one punch power. That said If he times you right and lands on the chin sure he could, could put miguels lights out but it is very unlikely. Clotteys biggest problem will be how he prefers to fight on the inside. I have seen him far too often put his head against the other opponents, clam shell and let them punch and then try to counter. He does possess quick feet and likes to move in and out quickly but does not do this consistently. When he does this against Cotto he will give him ample opportunity to run combo's downstairs and upstairs which in my view is whee he will pay a big price. The first half of the fight will be one by Cotto with the jab, good movement and punch variety. Clottey will have some moments but my crystal ball sees nothing Cotto should worry about if he is prepared well! The 2nd part of the fight will be the part that Clottey takes too much punishment, because he lives and dies on his ability to do this. He will eventually get worn down and stopped or just battered to a UD. Clottey's best case scenario is that Evangelista leaving team Cotto ends up being a bigger deal than most imagine and he ends up catching a decision. Not trying to sound so one sided but its just the way I see this goin down.

who is the more experienced and better boxer? Mosley or Clottey? Mosley IMO and Mosley had a lot of trouble with Cotto's boxing ability and movement. The same will happen in this fight.
