At 147 = Cotto by Murder
At 140 = Pac by KO
    At Catchweight = Toss-Up

      you are absolutely right,

I reformulate my statement as "if cotto accepts a ridiculous enough catchweight, ..."

Pacman not pound for pound best

I think Pacman is a great fighter and he has been matched up with a lot of fighters recently where he was considered the under dog but he has still come out with the win because they were all come forward fighters with no right hand except for marquez who gave pacman a beating. Its funny how people say manny has this blinding speed but when fhe ought marquez he was being countered all day. Marquez was actually landing first in the later rounds, nobody was screaming about manny's speed then except for freddie roach even though his fighter was being beaten to the punch and lost more rounds. Your not the best pound for pound if another fighter wins more rounds than you in a fight, win or lose. Pacman needs to rematch marquez before i consider him the best because in my eyes he lost period!

Cotto most likely wouldn't knock him out... but he, like Floyd Mayweather Jr, would most definitely beat PacMan...

Once again, Pacquiao's speed and power is being undermined, as is always the case before any of his matches.

Cotto will come to the same conclusion as Pac's last 4 opponents, that you don't know how fast Manny really is until you get in the ring with him. And make no mistake, power is a product of speed, genetics and will, the will to hurt, and Pac has this and the other two traits you need to be a power puncher. He has scored a KD, TKO, TKO, TKO in his last 4 fights in 4 different divisions which means he carries his power wherever he goes.

I once played in a charity basketball game, courtesy of my job, with Allan Iverson in Chicago and I didn't know how fast he was until I played with him. And I ran track and played receiver in high school. Man, AI is a speed demon and he was just taking it easy on the rest of us mortals.

Speed is deceptive and is one of the hardest to adjust to in boxing. By the time you figure out what is going on, you are either out of position or have already been hurt bad. See JMM, Diaz, Oscar, and Hatton vs Pac.

JMM was doing well in the 2nd fight until he got hit by a left hand that he didn't even see. This knockdown was the difference in their fight according to the judges. David Diaz couldn't believe how fast Manny was. Oscar, although a shell of himself, couldn't react to Manny's punches in bunches routine. He couldn't even cover up because it was so fast. Hatton.... it was over before he could even sweat and Manny was just warming up. He was about to put it in 2nd gear.

Cotto will have the same difficulties with Manny.

A speed freak against a plodder/stalker is an easy UD or a mid-round KO for Pacman against Cotto. Yes, even at 147.

^And Pac and his fans are under the illusion that he will do to Cotto what he did to DLH and Hatton...Silly..Even at 147? No. Pac would be slower and less powerful with added weight.

Imo, Cotto would neutralize Pac's speed and movement..Cotto will cut the ring off and catch him and then it will be lights out for Pac..trust...

if cotto moves like he did in the opening rounds of the margarito fight against pacquiao he will be fine. cotto always is allowed to set the pace of the fight because people fear his power. if cotto moved with the speed of pacquiao or had his stamina cotto would be the most feared man in boxing. more often then not people are okay with cotto stalking around the ring because it allows them to conserve there stamina and allows them to plan ahead for how they will deal with there broken ribs. cotto would up his speed to deal with pacquiao. could he be careful while doing it? idk. i imagine it wouldn't be as easy to be so accurate when you're fighting a lightning bolt like manny.
