1) yes, margo "probably" cheated against cotto, but until we know for sure, the results of that fight stands.

2) yeah, he BARELY beat mosley; but Mosley destruction of margo puts him on top of cotto as the #1 WW

cotto is definitely #1. sure mosley brutalized margarito who cheated against cotto but triangle theories don't really mean ****. so aside from gomez and jennings who don't count for **** he has beaten mosley, judah, quintana, malignaggi, branco, torres. the majority of those names considered big threats to cotto. i heard never ending amounts of **** before all of those fights about how "this guy is the guy" to beat cotto. sort of similar to how every fighter is the fighter to beat floyd. funny how all those dudes were considered big threats before cotto fought them but after a victory over them they are washed up, old, nobodies.

i remember right after cotto beat mosley the excuses came out about how mosley was old, cotto didn't really win, mosley was washed up and so on. but now that mosley destroyed margarito without his enhancements suddenly he is top dog?

lets compare there last ten fights.

mosley: margarito, mayorga, cotto, collazo, vargas, vargas, cruz, estrada, wright, wright

cotto: jennings, margarito, mosley, judah, urkal, quintana, malignaggi, branco, torres, abdulaev

you can't say one resume is clearly better than the other. so it just comes down to them fighting. and in the first go round cotto came out on top. so cotto is #1 at ww right now.

mosley is already the #1 WW. the championship is vacant though. the winner of mosley/cotto determines the champ of the WW division.

on a different note:

when talking about the WW division, you can't use mosley fights outside of the WW division to defend his position in the WW division.

we know mosley/cotto was a close fight. we know margo destroyed cotto. we know mosley destroyed margo. the result = mosley is #1.
