    Your thoughts?

How would the fight turn out if Manny could prove to hurt Miguel Cotto?

Without question if he lands one on the button on Miguel he could definitely drop him. IDK about a one shot KO though. Cotto is also pretty dangerous when he is hurt so he could easily turn the tide as well. The more and more I think about it this fight's potential is through the roof. It could be the good guy version of Hagler vs Hearns.

Yeah he can be hurt but Cotto is not the same fighter he was in that video. Just like Pac isn't the same fighter that was Ko'd early in his career. Cotto's defense has improved big time. Remember he did hold his own with Mosley and beat him to the punch a good majority of the time. This won't be a walk in the park for either fighter.

Thats completely different. He was like what? 16 years old?

Nah, at mid-ranged Cotto is at a disadvantage. He doesn't do well when getting a barrage thrown at his face. Also, Cotto has a suspect chin with good recovery. So if Pacquiao catches him flush like he did Hatton. I think he would definately go down. Dont know about for the count though.

Simple answer is yes. I think at 144 Pacquiao could really give Cotto a war, and Pacquiao only gets stronger as the fight goes on. At 147 Cotto has a better chance, but even at welter I think Manny has a chance to beat him.

I was just saying they have both improved as fighters since they started. Cotto can hold his own mid-range. He has very accurate punches. But I'm a fan of both fighters... it's gonna be a war. This one is a win, win for boxing if it ever happens. If a gun is put to my head, I'd have to choose Pac by late round stoppage or SD.

@ 144 is an even match

                    QUOTE]

The video does not prove anything since everyone knows cotto can be rocked. Just like everyone should know pac has been rocked before. Yes of course manny has the goods to defeat cotto but cotto has the goods to defeat manny also at 144. At that weight simply put to me is a 50/50 of either fighter winning. This is my opinon based on years of watching pac and cotto. Excellent match.
