He's good, great even but he's not 5-10 great.

20-30 is probably his slot, Manny is the only one with a chance to break top 10 this era and he need 3-4 big fights still to do that.

did i ever say they did? some idiot was implying hopkins and calzaghe were both past their prime which could be true but if all fighters age different why is calzaghe past his prime then? he's fought all bums his entire career till now with the same exact style he's never changed. you could never tell anyhow. hopkins meanwhile uses a totally different style then he used to that is more methodical with less work rate. that is symptomatic of slowing down and being 43.

Jeez Daggum lad. Calzaghe use the exact same style? For all your nonsense I at least thought you'd watched some boxing. That is really pretty poor. if you can't see the difference between the slugging Calzaghe of 1997 to the slapping but far more tactical 2007 version then you're beyond hope. Please tell me you can see it ... you don't have to tell anyone else and ruin your rep but please don't make me give up on you.

Both were past their prime. Calzaghe can barely even punch anyone now due to the state of his hands and personally I think he was around 2-3 years past his prime. Hopkins ... well I'm not sure when his prime ever was. It might actually be now. He's just a freak.

There is no SLUGGING CALZAGHE! i'm convinced you have never seen his early career fights. please stop with the lie that calzaghe was a murderous puncher who destroyed guys. go watch calzaghe-torres or calzaghe-littlewood. hell go watch any of his fights where he stops someone. you will see how he gets his stoppages in true "calzaghe style" he never was a slugger it was a built up record on early stoppages and downright fixed fights probably.

saying he changed his style is a lie. look at the way he fought eubank. exactly the same way he fought hopkins. exactly. swarming slappy punches with no power. did you say he fights tactical now? LOL! tell me what is so tactical about rushing in and throwing 100 punches in windmill fashion?

as far as calzaghe being past his prime but not hopkins. one word. IDIOT.

I've been thinking hopkins rank as number 3 pound for pound in the world at age 44 is one of the greatest accomplishments in the history of sports. Anyone ever do anything like that?

thats what i thought. no comeback. too bad their is actual video evidence of calzaghe's early career where you claim he is a slugger thus proving you wrong. you say he didn't slap back in 1997? well here's a video of him slapping from 1997 vs some can named torres. enjoy being wrong!

hey look at this devastating ko by the slugger! hey look he's slapping same as always what a surprise! and this is before his phantom hand injuries! wow it was all a lie saying he had to slap to save his hands. he always did it.

thank god the ref stopped it when torres landed a jab! never seen a ref stop a fight when the other guys landing punches. thats usually a sign of being hurt huh landing punches. i guess the ref was telepathic and could tell calzaghe was gonna hurt him badly soon so he stopped it. how can you count this as a win? what an utter fraud.

Cheers for the link. Not see that fight for ages. However that video might be the biggest self-ownage this forum has ever witnessed. Fine work!
