Bernard Hopkins has to be a top 5-10 ATG

I mean, this resume, knocked out Glen Johnson, knocked out Felix Trinidad, knocked out Oscar De La Hoya, embarassed a prime Antonio Tarver, beat prime Winky Wright, embarassed a prime Kelly Pavlik. Lost very close fights with Slappy, RJJ, and Taylor, some believe he won the Slappy and Taylor fights. Defended the middleweight belt 20 times. Has other good wins over Allen, Joppy, Echols. Held the 4 major belts at 160 at once. Has been #1 at 160 and 175. Has been rumored at one final go around at CW or HW in search of a third division of dominance.

Let's all bow to the great Bernard Hopkins. HOF, ATG.

Too bad Jones and he couldn't agree on a rematch. That would have been a good fight. Hopefully the same doesn't happen with Mayweather and Pac.

        DLH was a lightweight.
        Trinidad was a welterweight.
        Kelly was coming from middle.

He has fought people coming up a fair bit but he is awesome. No doubt about it.

            Tito is a legit win.
Kelly had previously fought JT @ 166. Legit win.

DLH was a welterweight/junior middleweight, but middleweight was a bit much for him... he even struggled with Sturm. Trinidad is a legit win though, Trinidad carried his power well up to 160. The handwraps with Tito may be more significant than anything. Kelly had fought Taylor in a rematch at a catchweight in light heavyweight. Kelly only bounced up 4 pounds from his previous fight while Hopkins had to shed 5 pounds from his previous fight. Do you really think a prime 160 Hopkins struggles with the best Pavlik we've ever seen?

I disagree with that. I think the fight was very close. Dont get me wrong, RJ won without a doubt but it was like 7 rounds to 5 for me but it was a clear 7-5. No matter how you scored it, in no rounds did RJ dominate him. They were all fairly close rounds with RJ skimming out most of them. 7-5 or 8-4 but all tough rounds. By far his toughest fight until Tarver and that was a totally raw Hopkins. He wouldve gave RJ hell that 2nd time. He was in his prime and a beast at that stage and as we saw later on, he had no problems moving up to LHW let alone SMW. He wouldve been a problem for RJ, no doubt

Hopkins is awesome. Sometimes I have no idea what he is speaking about though. Most of the time he makes sense but sometimes I'm just thinking 'this is like RJJ crossed with Matt Rogan after about 10 wiskeys'.
