Andre Ward-Edison Miranda: The Pre-Fight Report Card

By Cliff Rold - It isn’t a world title fight nor are there any pound for pound stakes. It’s just a good match between two guys who find themselves in a position where the stakes are high if they want to get into the rarified high stakes circles which get the biggest names paid.

It’s a good old fashioned crossroads fight featuring a young potential star and the scarred veteran who may not be done with being a contender just yet. That’s plenty of hyperbole for a good night in the ring. [details]

its about time ward steps his opposition talent level up. tonight he definitly does have a lot to prove/show; especially after seeing all the promising middleweight prospects on the manny/hatton undercard.
judging from his last fight, i dont think hes that good, nor has the talent to become a A+ fighter. mayb a B B+ fighter, and in a division where the top dogs atm are B+ fighters, he should make it to the top.
    we'll c......
i wouldnt b 2 surprised if he got stopped 2nyt..

Come on Ward. Im a bit of a Ward fan. Ive been following him for a bit and waiting for him to step up. I think he should get by Miranda, if he can stay away from his power. Miranda looks a little shot to me in his last fight with Vegas.

i'm seriously; ward is definitely taking his time. hopefully it helped him tighten up the defense. he will need it against miranda.

Edison Miranda by KO in the middle rounds. He isn't the greatest but definetly tougher than anyone Ward has faced. I'm tired of hearing about Ward. He is one of the most boring fighters to watch. This won't be the case tonight however because Miranda is always entertaining. Hopefully Miranda wins and gets another shot at a belt.
