There's even talk of how it's on its last legs and has been overtaken by upstart combat sports like the MMA. So yeah I think that in a recession, it's one of the first to be sacrificed in favor of the more popular sports (like football) in the mind of a mainstream fan/buyer.

h him and any other fighter, not just Floyd.
We know Oscar =FMJ did 2.4million against 1.2 for Manny.
FMJ-Hatton did over 850k against 825k for Manny.
    Manny-Marquez did less than 400k.
IF Mayweather-Marquez does more than 400k will you accept that Mayweather is a bigger draw since Mayweather will have managed to do more numbers than Manny against the same people?
And in that case assuming you are a rational person we will also thereby conclude that Mayweather is the man and he deserves 60% of the share of revenue.

Floyd has a lot of fans and the truth is he's not that price elastic.Floyd could actually raise prices for his fights and take less PPV numbers but make more money than he is doing right now.Floyd appeals to people who are willing to pay extra to watch him fighting. The onces who are affected are those who have not taken time to build their brand like Mosley marketing game is dull.

PBF will have outdrawn Pac against all 3 of their common opponents. Pac may be really popular in the Philipines, he may be an exciting fighter, but that doesn't translate over in America unless you are one of our own or are in a popular sport. PBF sells more PPVs and puts more people in their seats. FACT. PERIOD. Pac doesn't get more of the share because he's more exciting. PBF has proven he can sell with his brand of boxing, Pac is still catching up to Mayweather's money, but he is on a good path. 55/45 split for Mayweather based on historical PPV figures. They should probably take away 30 million and 20 million respectively. A nice chunk of money for Manny to get in there and go to sleep after a couple of rounds.

Pac's legacy is set after beating two guys Mayweather had already beaten? Mayweather wacks Pac around like an old gym towel. You don't set splits over who boxing fans assume needs the fight more, you set splits based on how much of a draw each boxer is. Floyd is the bigger draw based on him outselling Pac in their 3 common PPVs and Floyd generally being a bigger star in America because he is American.

55/45 to Floyd or Pac is afraid of getting Torrecampo-ed again.

I will give you the fact that we need to see PBF-JMM exceed 400K in the current recession first, but if it does Mayweather deserves 55-45 because he has outdrawn Pac against all 3 of their common opponents. Mayweather is the bigger draw, therefore he gets the bigger share.

PBF sold 1.15M more PPVs vs. DLH than Pac.
PBF sold 100K more PPVs vs. Hatton than Pac.
Whatever PBF sells vs. Marquez that is above 400K (which it is expected to do) will mean that PBF outsold Pac in all of their common fights.
PBF is the bigger draw. PBF gets the bigger share.

There's nothing wrong with 50/50. They will ask for the fight below 147, so that is one asking point for Pac. Then, be sure that Freddie has "Reyes" gloves as the mandatory gloves for both fighters, which doesn't favor Floyd's brittle hands. Freddie did that to him in the Oscar fight. That's TWO asking points for Pac.

PPV Numbers: Hatton and Oscar are the similar opponents: Floyd did better.
JMM is up next so we'll see what the comparison is for that one as well.

Floyd first has to get by JMM.
