    Will Floyd be the same?

I personally think Floyd is gonna come back like he never left, i dont even think he will show ring rust let alone have faded but i want to see what the general feel is, are u expecting vintage Mayweather or a slightly faded one?

When a fighter retires its usually coz he dont have it no more or he dosnt enjoy the sport anymore but with Floyd u get the impression he always knew he was coming back and that it was (the retirement) purely tactical. I think he has been watching all the fights and potential opponents, trainning away, sparring and mabey even some gym fights, he will be sharp IMO

Well we all saw how Cory Spinks lose his legs, I think Mayweather's footwork isn't gonna be the same, he'll move less and load up more.

Its possible but after the JMM fight i wouldnt jump straight to that conclusion because Floyd might WANT to load up and FIGHT him.

Mayweather is lucky because Unlike a Roy Jones or Naz he has options and dosent just rely on reflex, if his legs have gone he can fight great in the pocket like a James Toney

Still i dont think his movement will suffer

I personally never took Mr boat buyer's retirement seriously but 2 years is a long time. I'm really anxious to see how he looks against JMM.

Mayweather will look sharp but my have trouble considering they are both counter punchers, this will be a slow fight so we will not be able to truly see if he is still very skilled, I know some people love JMM but i think this is a severe mismatch, not in skill but in size, we will see the true mayweather once he fights a Pacquiao that will KO him within 5. Mark my words Pac is a different fighter.

True boxers have long running pains , aches and niggles that never get the chance to fully heal and this Could help but if the guy comes back great against JMM i wouldnt say he's better right away, im thinking Tito vs Mayorga and Tszyu vs Mitchell 2

Floyd has bee in the gym since December and he has been sparring. You remember before he faced hatton,by the time he came for the press conference he had already started sparring.Apparently he is very sharp and his defence is better than ever.He will take Marquez to places he has never been before.

Who knows. I do agree with you, Surgeon, in that Mayweather always knew he'd come back. He was never retired. I'll say something which might rile the Floyd fans, though -- he was waiting for the threat of Cotto and Margarito to die down. Now these two have somewhat lost their shine, Floyd comes back out because his world is a slightly safer place.

I mean no offense to the Floyd fans, but this is how I see it. You can't blame me for that. Floyd himself gave me that impression.
