Exactly, Nuurzhaelan. This is something I have talked about for months -- the fact that Pacquiao's right hand is very good these days, yet it's still overlooked by many. Some people still accuse him of being a one-dimensional slugger -- which is actually a good thing for Pacquiao because people underestimate him -- but since the second Marquez fight Manny has been forced to work on his right hand and improve his game all-round. The close fights with Marquez were a blessing in disguise, in my opinion. Marquez is a wonderful fighter, he definitely highlighted a couple of Pacquaio's flaws, and I believe those flaws are ironed out by now.

The work he did with the right hand in the Diaz and De La Hoya fights was excellent. It was obvious to me he would hurt Hatton with the same hand, especially after Hatton revealed how he had been focusing his training to slip the left. Ricky did exactly what I said -- underestimated Pacquiao, saw him as a limited, one-handed fighter, and got punished for it. The right hand led to his knockdown. He was hurt badly, hence taking a knee for the full count, and he is lucky to have made it out of the first round. Everything came from that right hand that dropped him.

Yes, the video shows that he is unable to adapt. Again, he is not an intelligent fighter.

I made a thread about this fright after the fight. That was so funny when Hatton & Senior said that he does the same move every time and they smugged like it was basic and easy to stop and then he lets Pac knock him the **** out with it

I think Flattened was thinking that PAC's right hook was an offensive move, but that r. hook, roll-under is obviously a counter to Flattened's telegraphed left-hook.

Manny has now a counter- punching ability.

My reason for posting the gif was not to show whether or not Oscar was slipping it, but to show that Pac has a brilliant right hand, so training to slip the left just might not be enough anyway.

Opponents keep on preparing for Manny's left. They don't seem to realize he has a GREAT right hand these days. Watch the Diaz fight. Manny's right hand was awesome in that fight.


Whatever. De La Hoya is naturally stronger than Pac. Maybe David Diaz is also naturally stronger than Pac. It makes absolutely no difference. Pacquiao's speed and mobility killed them both.

Also, as for that comment by Floyd and Flattened regarding PAC and Roach doing the same **** over and over. Uh, duh, that's why it's called training.

Maybe if one of 'em weren't so busy making Kool-Aid, maybe if someone wasn't late for training sessions all the time, and maybe, just maybe if they weren't so concerned about how good they could trash-talk in front of the cameras and coming up with Kindergarten rhymes. psst. Total lack of professionalism is what it is.

Combinations have to be practiced over and over for it to become instinct and thats what PAC and Roach has shown us all. Practice makes perfect!
