Whoever has a crystal ball, magic 8-Ball or can see the future.....

Lets just say Marquez and Pac never fought....where would they BOTH be today...and please no hating comments, smart @$$ remarks. We're all grown ups here so lets use our "boxing smarts" and have a grown up thread for once......

I think Pac would've been wrecking people but would have never gotten the skills to get over the hump like he did when he fought Morales the second time. I think the first JMM fight taught him tons that the first Barrera fight didn't.

JMM would've been fine. He was a champ for a while before and was well respected. But it's debateable how many money fights he would've gotten.

I usually don't play the what if game, but both guys I feel would've stayed pretty low in weight.

Agree with that. Fighting the 3 Amigos definately taught Pac how to be more of a boxer/puncher. JMM definately learned that agression can only be tamed and not defeated. My opinion, if they never fought each other, they would've ended being the 1st Valero (pac) and JMM, Morales and Barrera would just be playing merry-go-round with each other.

One thing I think, the Linares, Soto's, Valero's, Guerrero's, Guzman's would've fought Pac at a lower weight. And it may have been a different story for Pac. I don't know if he would've blown up in the eyes of his countrymen doing that.

His promoters were masterful getting him to fight the mexicans but there were plenty of dudes he would have had to fight had he not gotten JMM.

JMM was kingpin at feather. He would've never fought Chris John, etc.
It's hard to tell if he would've ever fought Barrera or Morales but there would have been plenty of cries for it when both guys were at the top of their game.

pac would still be p4p #1.

jmm would be stuck at 126.

Pacquiao would still be pretty much where he is today, Marquez would be the big loser here IMO, he would still be fighting in relative obscurity if it weren't for the Pacquiao fights.
