So I've been reading all these threads about Pac this, Floyd that...and its really getting to a point that if the fight happens great for boxing, if it doesn't there are other great matches to make.
Here's my take -
Floyd Jr. - Born into boxing, has boxing in his blood (Uncle Roger and Sr.) been boxing since he was like 4 yrs old, trained by one of the best technicians (Sr.) and one of the best tacticians (Uncle), great resume, but not ATG, best "boxer" of our generation, (previous was Sweatpea) plays the villain role to a tee to get maximum paydays, (nothing wrong with that- boxing is a business) and completely dominates fights- tactically. Love him....
Manny - Born into poverty, stealing/ fighting to make a living since he was little, "boxing" since 2001 (joined up with Roach), trained by one of the best in Roach, great resume as well, almost ATG resume, plays the humble champion to a tee, (I do believe he is genuinely that type of guy), from reports, Manny does not negotiate the money he makes, but always states that he fights who his people put in front of him, dominates fights (except JMM of course) from a boxer/ puncher standpoint.....Love him too
These are two totally different types of guys and people are so quick to assume this and that about them.
I understand the fanbases for both camps-
Mayweather Mafia: Yes Floyd is the "king" and Pac inherited his status when he vacationed, but Pac was #2 while Floyd was active, IMHO Jr. will UD Marques due to styles, then go on to fight Pac, and I give it a 50/50 shot for both guys.
Pac-Huggers: Yes manny is GOD in the P.I, and he is one of the few reasons to be proud to be a Pinoy, but don't go around talking all this **** saying he'll KO this guy and KO that guy...be a realist and not a nut-hugger, your not representing your Idol very well.
Well guys, just had to get that off my chest...look forward to this Fall/Winter when they will battle for the REAL P4P Chapionship.....I'll have my $49.95 ready!
