Floyd's retirement letter

The funny thing is, that Floyd CLAIMS that he said on numerous times that he was going to retire. That is a motha phukin bold face lie. Remember that after the Baldomir fight, he promised Tony Margarito a fight and even shook Tony's hand, saying "You will get your shot". When Floyd announced that he was retiring that night at the post press conference, people were shocked, how is it that no one knew? He claims he had been telling the media and people that he was going to retire but if you watch the video, people in the room are like WHAT!? WHY!? This came to everyone as new news. The bottom line is, Floyd lied. He got out of the sport because he ducked Tony. Margarito was standing in his way in the Welter Weight Division, and it was the division that Floyd was campaigning at. To make matters worse, along come, Cotto, Paul Williams and Shane Mosley. You add all this up and what do you get? Floyd's own words after he faught Hatton were, "I AM NOT CALLING OUT ANY WELTER WEIGHTS"! I AM NOT TRYING TO FIGHT ANY WELTER WEIGHTS"
This is why the little ***** retired. If you guys can't see thru this *****'s act, then you have his **** deep up in you and it's clouding not only your vision but your judgement too.Comment

I think he truly was retiring in his mind forever. The economy and maybe his ego forced him to come back. I truly think it is the economy and the fact helost alot of money in realestate and other investments. the fact he had issue with his hands and maybe lost the desire due to the fact he couldn't fight upt io his true potential due to that had some factor in his decision.
I answered this in another thread but i will repeat myself for you ...I wish he stayed retired, because if he does beat Marquez, and Pacman he'll claim to be the greatest fighter ever even though he avoided Cotto, Mosley, Clottey, and other Welterweights. And he brags about being the bigger man in the ring against Hatton, and Marquez... Floyd clearly doesn't give a **** about his legacy since he ****s on his own legacy calling the fighters he fight smaller then himself.
How many fights did he have at 147? 4 fights. He fought Mitchell, Judah, Baldomir(Judah's Conquerer) and Hatton, He fought Oscar at Oscar's weight 154. At the time when he entered 147 Judah was King. Judah lossed to Baldomir so he beat Judah then he beat Baldomir. He went up in weight to fight Oscar for mega bucks (honestly can you blame him?) Came back down to fight a 43-0 Hatton (another big $ fight) At this time everyone wanted to see Floyd fight Cotto or Margarito. He then was supposed to fight Oscar again. (1st bout ended in SD) This time for even bigger bucks again at 154lbs but something happened (money issues) and the fight got cancelled. Shortly after that he decided to retire. My thoughts on this was that he has hand issues and a fighter can't go to work if his tools (hands) are bad. Just ask Paulie or Calzaghe. If you look back at the fights he did have above 135 pounds Floyd was often the smaller man. Chcio outweighed him and so did Castillio.
Yeah say what you want maybe we didn't see him against Cotto. Mosley beat Margarito so that leaves me to believe that Floyd probably would have did much of the same that Mosley did. Would have been like Floyd verses a bigger Baldomir. The one fight we were really depribed of seeing was Cotto vs Floyd in my book. Truth is we still might get that you never know. Say what you want about Floyd but he still is a tremendous fighter with tons of talent. The problem is we haven't seen him tested or at least not the way we want to see him tested....LeftyComment
