The only time Pac went backwards in that fight was when he can't see because of the bloody eye that was caused by a headbutt.

It was a close fight and that was against a Pac who was moving up, one-eyed ,and was forced to wear Pillow gloves.

Pac took out his bicycle as early as round 1 and Morales was forced to chase him all the way across the ring, rope to rope.

Pac was getting out-boxed, running after every exchange, and losing the fight before the headbutt ever occurred.

Again, Emanuel Steward said he personally tried both Winning and Reyes, and there is very little difference between the two if both are 8oz gloves, as was the case with Pacquiao and Morales. He said it's a personal thing, but overblown and not significant enough to dictate the outcome of a fight. You can clearly hear him say this on the Raheem vs Morales fight. It's an excuse, like having itchy socks!

Mayweather wears any gloves, Reyes, Winning, or Grant, as long as they are 10oz gloves. His hands are too brittle for the thinly padded 8oz gloves, which both Pacquiao and Morales wore in their fight.
