"People say I'm over-hyped, overprotected, a fat, beer-drinking Englishman" - Ricky Hatton
I'm sick of the excuses by the Hattons. Everyday a new one comes up. Give credit to Manny Pacquiao. It doesn't matter what Hatton showed up, he would have lost to Pacquiao that day or probably, any day.
They are in deep denial because they still, to this day, believe that Ricky belonged with the best pound for pound fighters of the decade. He was a great Welterweight champion but never in the class of Pacquiao, PBF, JMM, Hopkins, Calzaghe, RJJ, Mosley, Vazquez, Rafa or even Darchinyan. Never.
Just give Pac the credit and move on. You would never have beaten Pac, whatever day it was.
Sick of it. (And I used to admire this guy.)
