Good to hear that he's maturing and watching film himself. That is GREAT news. Who knows, maybe Evangelista really did need to go and this change will yield good results.

It was informative. And I did not know that Cotto was now having to study fight footage of his opponent. Something he did not have to do in the past. So shut the phuk up. Comment on the article or don't comment at all you **** head.

However, for the fight with Joshua Clottey, the boxer(Cotto) devoted endless hours to the study of past battles of Ghaneian in preparation for their fight of June 13 at Madison Square Garden in New York.

"We sat together to see the strengths and weaknesses of Clottey," said Joe Santiago, coach of the new WBO WelterWeight (147 pounds) champ.

"We see everything that is good and bad so as to outline a strategy," he added.

In the past, Evangelista was the one watching videos of the opponents of Miguel and then presented the game plans. This time, Miguel will be involved.

"We know that Clottey is a great boxer and a geat counterpuncher, but he tends to commit some mistakes with his style, and that is where we will draw the winning game plan, "said Santiago in the early hours by telephone from Tampa, Florida.

                Comfortable weight

Santiago, on the other hand, indicated that Miguel has dropped weight without major setbacks, one month from his appointment with Clottey.

"Had he held on a peWeight for the Boxing Commission of Puerto Rico, there is no doubt that Miguel would be well below what is allowed. Many people are surprised what the weight is, "said Santiago, who refused to specify the actual weight of the boxer.

                Zero distractions

Also, Santiago said that the barracks in Tampa, Florida, has fallen as a ring to a finger. "Here we have to leave the house go to the track, back to the house before going to the gym and go home," he said.

I'm getting the inclination that that's why Santiago specifically commented on weight. He didn't have to say that, but he made it clear that he was on pace to be well below 147.
