Why even make comparisons? Old fighters have the "advantage" of being born in a different era of the sport and modern fighters have the "disadvantage" of being born in a different era of the sport (advantage and disadvantage could be flipped depending on what you're talking about).

When modern fighters accomplish something they're always compared to someone else and in the shadows of others (it happens everywhere, not just boxing). It's sad in a way. You can't blame them for being born in the year they were born and it's not their fault people accomplished things long before they got a chance to. It's also sad when old fighters that have been dead for decades get "dethroned" and lose their place in history. Why can't people just be great?

pac has never held two titles simultaneously. pac wasn' the man at 135 when he moved up to beat that club fighter ricky hatton.
