If its his last he needs Floyd to define his legacy. Beating Cotto and Marquez again would just be icing on the cake but beating Floyd would solidify his stature as an ATG.

His stature as an ATG is already solidified, Al.

He is already an ATG, and he is above Floyd at the moment imo, so he doesn't have to fight Floyd. Though i agree i'd love to see that fight.

        has to be against Mayweather

Marquez III and Cotto are great match-ups but they don't quite hold the same historical significance

I just hope Arum and Floyd both agree to compromise

I agree he is an ATG. Still too many doubters though. I think Floyd removes all doubt and tilts every debate about Manny's place in boxing history in his favor.

He better not retire after one more fight, he just officially became one of the very few crossover stars in boxing! I hope he fights for a few more years.

he could go out fighting Marquez, Cotto, or Mosley and I'd have no complaints

He's not going to retire after 1 more fight. He's just having delusions of being in politics again. But he's at the height of his boxing career and noone in the philippines will vote for him while he's still at his physical peak. If he retires...it will be to run for some kind of office. He will lose...unretire because the sport is really hard to walk away from when there's still more just within reach...and the layoff will come back to bite him in the ass.
