But that is when it comes down to belts. If pac is said to be the best pound for pound in the world, and Mayweather, who "gave up" the title as pound for pound best by retiring, not by losing, were to go to a draw, then obviously they are on the same skill level, they would both have to be pound for pound the best. I can understand losing a belt by retiring, but to lose the title pound for pound best seems different to me. It should not be bound by the same rules that a belt is. Just because Floyd retired doesn't mean he is any less capable of fighting then he once was.
But then again that is my opinion and I'm sure I will be skewered for it.

its common sense. in ties and draws the champ gets the benefit of the doubt and retains his titleBut that is when it comes down to belts. If pound for pound is judged the same as championship belts, then does that mean it could be won or lost on a dq? If so, Montell Griffen would have been p4p champ when Roy Jones was dq for hitting him on the mat. But Roy stayed number 1. It also means that a nobody such as a journeyman can come out of nowhere and beat the p4p king and would be deserving of p4p title. But that isn't how it works! p4p titles cannot be held to the same rules as belts. If Floyd and Pacquiao draw, there would have to be dual p4p kings. And that is impossible, so chances are if this fight happens, and ends in a draw, the whole p4p system would collapse. But it probably will never happen.Comment

They'd flip a coin....
Heads this would be a dumb question
Tails it would still be a dumb question.
If it lands on its side you will be exicuted.Comment

Pac is listed at number 1 so of course he would keep the slot. If it was how it was a few years ago with Floyd as 1 and Manny as 2 Floyd would have kept the slot.Comment
