No, vintage Cory Spinks is a runner.

I've never seen Floyd actually turn his back and run. He uses the ring effectively which is great to watch.

But for reference, take a look at Mayweather/Baldomir. He allowed Baldomir to come into strinking distance. Floyd stayed in the pocket, but utilized shoulder rolls and great defense to nulify Baldomir's punches. That is not running.

What made that fight boring is that Floyd was playing tag. Just pointing. He did practically the same with DLH.

even though I dont agree with the second option that much, its the closest to my opinion.

Regarding the "its called boxing, not knockouts" phrase.

The goal of the sport is to hit and not get hit of course, but this is a sport of VIOLENCE and DAMAGE. If a fighter isn't in the ring to take the other guy out, he might as well go into Fencing or flag football.

Yes. He runs his mouth and his legs too much.

Perhaps so. However, I think that a fighter such as Pac should be able to overcome this. Hatton was able to get in close to floyd on a number of occasions when they fought in 2005. Granted, Pac isn't quite the holder that Hatton is, but I think from the performance on may 2 that Manny is going to be able to give Floyd a score of problems which he did not experience against Ricky. I believe that Roach's saying Floyd is a runner (so pack will only get decision) may not be the case come fight night. Should (god willing) this fight actually take place, I would be more than comfortable predicting a late stoppage for Pac. You can only run so far as your opposition lets you, and Pac's pretty good at bringing the fight. I think a lot of questions will be answered in Floyd's upcoming fight.

I've never seen Floyd run. Does he take steps back and counter? Yes. Floyd is not much of a dancer as you could see on Dancing with the stars. Floyd is a superb boxer and he's going to box Pac & Marquez's ears off!

nah, but he was a much more enjoyable fighter to watch when he was at the lighter weights. spinks is a track star.

Not particularly a runner, but a defensive minded fighter who doesnt care to mix it up. He's content with capatolizing off of his opponents mistakes, and potshotting his way to a points victory. His style although effective and works for him, doesnt make for a very entertaining bout for paying fans.

It makes for a more boring fight, but you can't criticize him for that. It's just his style of boxing. People find it hard to break it as opposed to if he just came out and straight brawled. If he did that with Pac it would be game over, if he plays it smart and uses the ring (running as you call it) then Pac will have a much harder time hitting him.

It's a game plan that is effective and works, it also frustrates the opponent and can provoke them into making mistakes.
