Scandinavian heavyweight hopeful Robert Helenius (7-0, 3 KOs) will face the biggest test of his career when he takes on Scott “The Hammer” Gammer on the undercard of the hotly-anticipated WBA heavyweight title fight between Nikolai Valuev and Ruslan Chagaev. The “Nordic Nightmare” confirmed his great shape with a spectacular second-round TKO victory over Ozcan Cetankaya last weekend, dusting his opponent with a huge right uppercut in the first and then again with a big right in the second. Helenius, a silver-medallist at the 2006 European Amateur Championships, is now looking forward to a “tough challenge” at Hartwall Arena on May 30. “I am thrilled to be fighting in front of my home fans,” said the 25-year-old, who was born in Sweden and raised in Finland. “Gammer is a difficult opponent but I will defeat him. I want to show the Scandinavian public what I have learned during the one year with Sauerland Event.” [details]
