yea, making him do what lead him to move to 147 in the first place, cut weight and put him at a weakness and have manny try to overwhelm him early. i used to think cottos chin wasnt that good until i saw him at 147 and i realized its because he was draining himself every fight.

i just dont understand, how can pac be ok with fighting oscar at 147, but cotto has to put himself at a handicap so that manny could potentially look good. i just dont understand how this is overlooked by his fans as being some kind of accomplishment.

      i'd love a cotto-pac fight.

a belt at 147 would be historic.

They really seem to flog every advantage they can get it seems. They only want to fight guys that will come straight at him. They only want the bigger guys to drop down as much weight as they can to weaken them. It's not as if they are two divisions apart. Then I could understand it, but Pac has already fought at WW and his best weight is now supposedly 140 so moving up to 147 to face a guy that they absolutely know has severe trouble with getting even close to 140, and that they know can be hurt by taking off that much weight ....

Well, let's just say that Freddie knows the things that will win him the fight before the two fighters even get in the ring. Cotto left 140 because it was unhealthy for him to fight there and he was getting hurt so easily there.

Now, they want to pull him down as far and close as they can get him to 140? If Freddie is so confidant of Pac at 140 and his size and strength, then he should be fine against a guy who is not a big WW by size alone, and the fact that Pac has already fought at WW. What's the problem?

Pac isn't jumping up from LW against someone that can easily make 140. He is already at 140, has already fought at 147 and is fighting a guy that can not make 140 if he had to. Cotto has admitted that he would prefer to fight at 154 because it's still not easy for him to make weight. Getting down to 143 or whatever they want would possibly hurt him. It's hard to say though I guess, I'm not Cotto.

I'm pretty sure Team Pacquiao will agree to a welterweight fight, if it was a same day weigh-in. An hour and a half before the main event sounds about right, so nobody will be at a disadvantage. Nobody can b*tch that Freddie always finds ways to get any minute advantage to his boxer.

            Agree Benny?
