Somebody overheard Floyd telling Lee Beard, "Heads, I win, tails you lose!" It's a no-win situation for Lee and Ricky. Floyd will definitely take full credit if he wins...

I just hope Floyd's business as a trainer won't slow down to a halt after his boxer's horrific showing, he still got mouths to feed...

I think Ricky Hattons father, Ray Hatton calling Ricky "Single Minded" showed in the fight. I believe Floyd Sr. completely , he didn't move his head a liq and kept his hands down. How dumb and single minded can u get, it showed in the fight. Lee Beard should've kept his mouth closed. Oscar Joan Floyd And Chad didn't do well with Floyd Sr. for nothing, they listened. Rickys a Fool, period. Floyd carried him through 9 rounds, he could've taken him out earlier but I dont' think he wanted to. He whooped his ass the whole fight Ricky even said himself....He rather the Manny fight cause he was taken out so quickly and Floyd ****ed him up and outclassed through 8...then took him out. Just retire man, or give your equiptment to Roger

Which would he prefer? Be KO'd early for fighting his way or be outclassed for 12 rounds? He asked that rhetorical question and preferred the former.
Ricky Hatton: I would prefer to be OUTCLASS! That 2nd Rnd K.O. really hurts! LOL

why hire sr. to teach you to box if your just gonna ignore everything you worked on in camp. at the very least ricky could have used some head movement. im surprised he didnt get ktfo before the PBF fight. its all on ricky but a ***** move by sr. to attempt to remove himself from any blame. he talked all that **** before the fight and at the end of the day he was in the corner of the fighter that got ktfo

true, but floyd sr's rep has taken a huge hit. I dunno if anyone will hire him again... although he was acting very unprofessional coming into the workouts late.

Reading is fundamental u should try it, because its like some of you look at words without reading the sentences so I'll quote his father from the front page to maybe answer your questions unless u happen to just look at the words here and not read them

"why hire sr. to teach you to box if your just gonna ignore everything you worked on in camp. at the very least ricky could have used some head movement."

                Hattons fathers response

"He's taking his time. He is single minded, stubborn if you like, and once he makes up his mind that will be it. We will respect that decision and knowing him it will be final and certainly he won't be a Frank Sinatra, forever making comebacks," Ray said.

"The defeat is still very painful for him even now. He knows he was reckless and his game plan went out of the window. A lot of people who know him well are thinking they can't see him going out and ending his career on the back of that sort of defeat."

Now does anybody have any questions

Not only comming to workouts late , who the **** is going to want this ******* to train them , not only do you have to worry about losing a fight , you have to worry about your trainer turning there back on you and blaming you for the loss , Floyd Sr got no Class !

Whether he followed Sr.'s training or not, Hatton is and always has been a brawler not a boxer. He loves the inside and he does the most damage there. He has always lacked defense and actual boxing skill, but he was trying to counterpunch with Manny and since he has never fought that way he paid the price. If Hatton could learn some defense he would do alot better.

As for Sr. he really isn't to blame. He knows Hatton lacks defense, but even Hatton's assistant trainer said in an interview after the fight that Hatton strayed from what they worked on in training and it cost him the fight.
