Dawson aint even close... his last two fights with Tarver were the most boring fights of the last 2 years and Glen Johnson beat him up... Dawson would get torn to shreds

There was no reward in this fight for Calzaghe. Joe had already felt the backlash of dethroning an overhyped American champion who he got little credit for beating up after being attacked by the American media, being labelled "a slapper" and being given little to no chance at victory. There would have been nothing for him to win and alot for him to lose. Needless to say I am sure Calzaghe would have made a fool of him.

I agree, people hate the guy for some reason but I'll say....I'd bet on Joe any day against any guy and have no worries that he would come out the winner of that fight. He could make adjustments mid-fight, had a grueling pace that would kill 98% of boxers, and had a unique style and stance that was very difficult to figure out.......plus, Joe had mental toughness and the mindset of a winner.
