Edison Miranda as The Gatekeeper? Tough Gate

Good on ward for taking such a tough fight!!! Miranda will really test Ward cant wait to see how this one goes!!!

Is this what Miranda has been reduced to? A gatekeeper? Man, what has this world come to? One minute you are posed to be the next big thing in the middle weight division, and suddenly you are cut down to being the gatekeeper I have to hand it to Pantera he will fight any one. If he get's knocked out by Ward, which should not happen but if he does, I think he should hang them up. You can't go around getting knocked the phuk out and expect anything good to follow. I wish Miranda the best. Actually I wish both well.

Ward will outspeed, outclass and KO Miranda quicker than expected. Miranda is damaged goods and has shown no improvement since the Pavlik fight. If he is KO'd by Ward he won't even be considered a gatekeeper, which honestly I dont think he is even that at least not in the super middle weight division. I think Pavlik took away his confidence and fire but he is still an exciting fighter.

If Miranda can pull this off, he is right back into contention again. He will never get that monster aura back, but he will gain back much of the respect that he lost.

I'm interested in seeing how he will react if he gets hurt in the fight. He took a couple bad beatings and most fighters cannot recover enough mentally from those type of losses even if they recover physically.

Ward isnt looking at Miranda as a beaten down, high mileage opponent that he can run through. He sees that he is up against a powerful beast, and will approach the fight with that attitude. Fuc the handlers, SOG knows what he is getting himself into, dont expect him to come out ****y or unprepared.
I dont dismiss Miranda at all, but the man is a rather crude boxer and he got starched BAD by Pavlik and Abraham, and beating like that do something to a fighter. If Miranda has Andrade-like durability this would be a more dangerous fight, but the man is limited and has shown vulnerable.
If Ward is what I and some of his fans think he is, he will pull this off.

I don't like the way the author tries to make it seem that Miranda is a has-been and a gatekeeper. That isn't fair at all, especially when speaking of some young untested fighter in the same sentence. I hope Miranda KNOCKS HIS ASS OUT!!! AND I Really THINK HE WILL!!!

Actually, that's sort of what I was getting at...that the matchmaking suggests they might view Miranda that way and it would be dangerous to do so.
