The beating Reid took against Tito was pretty damn brutal. He had that eye thing that didn't help either.

No contest man. DAvid REid got thrown to the wolves and never made any money.
JT became a pretty big star, was brought along properly, won some big fights and made a ton of money.
David Reid is boxing forgotten son.

Reid NEVER achieved anything close to Taylor's success..... Thus Taylor had higher to fall from.
Also, Reid's fall was partly because of an eye injury.

        So Taylor fell off harder

Yeah this is how I see it. JT has fallen from a far greater height. Reid's was still a fairly brutal descent though.

Reid's story is more about what might have been, had they not tried to push him so fast.

I will never for the life of me understand why Reid's camp took that fight. Absolutely terrible management. He had such great potential to become a top pound for pound fighter too.

I respect Reid for having the balls to take on a boxing veteran like Trinidad early on in his career, but you shouldn't be fighting guys of that calibre until your maybe 25-30 fights in.
