I can't believe the guy that (who I never liked) that everybody thought was going to be the next Bernard Hopkins, and eventually go down as one of the best of the era fell off so hard and quick. The man went from getting decisions over Hopkins in the MGM Grand in Las Vegas to being KOed by Carl Froch in Connecticut. You got to wonder what happened to his mentality.
Man Jermaine Taylor fell off, hard.

Froch is a good fighter.
But yeah it was that first knockout loss to Pavlik that did it I think. After that he never recovered.Comment

He can redeem himself somewat. I don't think any1 truly expected him to be the next Hopkins(title defense reign). I didn't expect him to lose to Pavlik tho and especially not Carl Froch.
He's a around a B- level fighter with good athleticism, good jab, bad stamina. Stamina kills everything he does good.Comment

It probabaly was Fisher. I couldn't decide between the two, but I remember hearing it on Beyond the Glory for Hopkins lol.
However, if anything, beating Hopkins twice should make you feel like the superman of the division. I don't think it had anything to do with Hopkins, I think it was more to do with the choices Taylor made - letting Pat Burns go and bringing in Steward, which just seemed to deteriorate his ring confidence from the get go.
Taylor's a great guy though and I hope things look up for him.Comment
