Size not withstanding, who has Floyd fought that has comparable skills to Marquez. Let's not kid ourselves here, JMM is a great technical fighter, he happens to be to small, but this fight says more about Floyd than it does JMM. Even if JMM loses, but manages to give Floyd trouble, it will enhance JMM's legacy, while the same can't be said for Floyd.

He knows exactly what he'll meet that's why he took the fight. He wants to fight the best and that's what he'll get. JMM has plenty of boxing skill and this is actually a step up for Mayweather who has been picking easier fights recently. I like them both and wish them the best of luck.Comment

Why wouldnt he fight JMM toe to toe, Chris John did? He has been hit by much bigger men. Doesnt get hit flush whether he is fighting inside or out. I like FMJ and I can admit he is fighting a smaller man; who will only get slower in moving to 144. Have I missed something or would JMM fans want us to believe he will become a knockout artist all of a sudden? Just because you stretch a pass his prime Casamayor and a feathered fisted Diaz you have a chance of knocking out a PRIME FMJ. Anyone who believes that is delusional at best. Im glad Marquez is really trying to sell this fight even though it wont last long.Comment

Gotta love Marquez' attitude on this one.
Btw, on the 'Floyd in the inside topic', Floyd would destroy any fighter inside a phone booth Imo. He knows when to hold, knows when to clinch, knows when to shoulder roll, elbow, push. You have to know all of those dirty tactics to be a complete boxer, he's really good inside the pocket. Hopkins, Mosley, and Mayweather are monsters in the inside, Paul Williams is improving in the inside with his huge uppercut.Comment
