I am a huge PBF fan but at this point it should be a 60-40 split in favor of Pacman.
What's MAYWEATHER going to say when he fails to SELL OUT the ARENA

Marquez Casamayor was almost full.
Lot of Mexicans will come to see that fight and I think the ARENA
will be full.Comment

I mean Floyd considers Vegas his hometown, he should be able to draw some people. It should be mostly full at the very least and he should sell out.
A lot depends on the general public, do they think that JMM has a shot against Mayweather? They do not know much about boxing and with a 24/7 it can be spun to look like a huge fight. It has a high chance of being a successful event (to add there have not been many boxing PPV and since people are talking Mayweather Pacman, that will probably help its cuase).Comment

By your standards SRL vs. Hagler was not a big fight
or Majority of oscar fights were not big fights...Comment

also jmm had to fight diaz in houston; he doesn't get that much love from mexicans... they prefered margarito over jmm before mosley/margo.Comment

He has ALWAYS critisized potential opponents for their lack of selling power, and has used it as a major excuse in avoiding tough fights.
Well I think we can safely assume that while Mayweather-Marquez will surely break 10,000 in attendance, its not gonna sell out with 16,000+
AND, on top of that, he is demanding 60-40 for a fight with Pacquiao. Do you think he will go back on this and agree to a 50-50 split? There is absolutely NO WAY Mayweather brings more money to the table than Pacquiao does. Not a chance- You must think FELIX TRINIDAD vs. OSCAR DE LA HOYA was a failure because only 11,000 people attended.
- You must think RAY LEONARD vs. ROBERTO DURAN was a failure because only 11,904 people attended.
- You must think RAY LEONARD vs. MARVIN HAGLER was a failure because only 12,379 people attended.
- You must think OSCAR DE LA HOYA vs. FERNANDO VARGAS was a failure because only 10,984 people attended.
- You must think FELIX TRINIDAD vs. FERNANDO VARGAS was a failure because only 9,309 people attended.
My God you are either very ignorant.. or you must think some of the greatest boxing events in our sport were complete failures because they didnt reach 16,000+ in attendance.Last edited by Bullet Bill; 05-11-2009, 05:44 PM.Comment
