The official reason why Manny won't fight Floyd next?

Lots of talk going on around here. Time to put it all to public poll.

Pick the option you think best describes the reason why Manny is more interested in fighting Cotto next, rather than Floyd.

Because Cotto will be a weight drained easy win.

Because Floyd would whip his ass and cost him his bid for election.

Is it because PAC is staying busy and not waiting until after the winner of PBF and JMM?

I think it's awesome that they have set this up this way.

Winner of Cotto-Pacquiao Vs. winner of PBF Vs. JMM.

Freddies stated several times he would like Manny to fight people besides Mayweather, cant blame him Floyd will pick Manny apart defensively.

His own adviser(Salud) is going on record in the main page on how a loss to Floyd would damage his bid for elections. On top of that he mentions how a Cotto fight will be easier for them. Can you say both?

well its been reported that PBF wants the bigger purse if he fights Manny and Roach and Arum both claim Manny should get the bigger purse so dont be shocked to hear that from PBF as his reasoning why he wont fight manny.

Manny deserves the bigger purse he gives the fans excitement unlike BORING-SLOPKING who bores his fans to death to a whorendous 12 round decision that everyone thanks jesus has finally arrived!

                  Bad Style Match-up; simple.

However, why not take a chance?

Floyd isn't the same young fighter that was fighting at 130-140 where I thought he was fighting at his best. Over the years at 147, he seemed to decline both Mentally and Physically.

It would be a great time to get to Floyd now given that he retired because the joy was gone and his body was breaking down. Add 1 1/2+ years of inactivity, it's worth the risk.

First, Floyd has to get by JMM.

I think Freddie will sit back and watch how Floyd looks fighting JMM. If he sees there is a big slip in Floyd, I think he may take the fight. Even if Floyd wins or even by KO, there can be still enough of a slip that Freddie takes the fight.

I think to many people just look at the results of the "W" and still think so and so is still at their best...but it doesn't work like that. Take Hopkins for example: He has declined for a long time now but he is so good that he can keep winning. However, certain styles can squeak out wins against him because of his age and declined athleticism and punch-out-put. Like Taylor and Calzaghe (although some will say Hopkins beat him). I say in both the Taylor and Calzaghe fights, age played more of a role against Hopkins than anything.

Right now, they can test Floyd's stamina given where he is at in his career. They can test his heart to see how high it is given everything that has happened. Does he still want to be a fighter; can he gut it out like he used to down in the lower weight divisions (which was years ago).

If you lose, you lose to Floyd Mayweather Jr; not that big of a deal...although Roach and Arum claiming Pac is the greatest of his generation and hinting on all time, may take a hit.

But if you win, you can say you beat Floyd Mayweather Jr...and argue he was still at his best because most will believe that because he still has his "O."

its Arum that wants Pac to fight cotto. he promotes both fighters so thats more money for him. if Arum promoted Mayweather he would be pushing for a Pac/PBF fight
