Thats because your gauging your knowledge on most boxers. But if youre a professional and you carry yourself in a professional manner, youre in the gym on a regular basis and not just when you have a fight lined up, thats why guys like Hopkins and Floyd come into fights the way they do. Floyd couldnt rehydrate 15-20 pounds if he wanted to, because his body didnt come down from alot to be able to go up that quickly.

You do know that people used to duck Floyd earlier on his his career right? When he was just an elite fight but really brought little else with him to the table (other then HBO money). It is funny that people always act like everyone always wanted to fight Floyd, it was not until later in his career that the risk reward to fight him actually made sence and people wanted to fight him.

This could just be the start of pre fight negotiations and probably is. This sort of stuff goes on all the time with different opponents talked up in order to try to get the best terms for your team. Personally i think pac v cotto would be a great fight persuming cotto gets past tough clottey. Pac will be fighting again this year but they are not going to wait around for floyd, its natural to look into other fights

If cotto pac does go ahead who will floyd fight? Floyd avoided fighting mosley at WW before he retired so i just dont see him taking that fight now so if cotto did beat pac then floyd would be forced to fight cotto in that case

Zab Judah is actually pretty close, at 147 he usually does not weigh much above that.
