i really do think some ppl let their hate get the better of them and it clouds their judgement of floyd, floyd as a 135-140 lber was a very ambitious fighter willing to take on the best - i remember that he would repeatedly call out the best fighters.

the fact that hes now competitive outside of his natural weight class (LWW, 140lbs) and has won titles at 154 and 147 is an achievement. however when you scarpe below the surface you realize that the victories over DLH at 154 was very close and could have gone the other way, and he never faced the top WW's (marg, cotto, SSM or even williams, berto or clottey).

i think if he beats manny id rate that as a good win for floyd, but floyd is naturally the bigger man so the higher the weight in the floyd/pac fight the more ammunition for floyds haters. i think wins over the likes of cotto or clottey would show that he can beat a genuine 147lber and secure his status as ATG

They will say Floyd is too big for Manny and Pac because in reality they feel Floyd is the better skilled fighter, but they use size as an excuse. Manny disposed of Oscar and Hatton in quicker and more emphatic fashion than Floyd did and size is not a big issue, this is a skills game folks.
