Minimum Requierment to be in the P4P LIST!

Movin up in weight is a challenge and does help a fighter's rep. But p4p just means you're as good or better at your weight as anybody in any weight. It's about talent/accomplishments, assumed everybody's weight is the same.Comment

Anybody that knows about boxing knows exactly how P4P stacks up.Winning belts in different divisions is completely irrelevant, its not about that, its about a hypothetical argument as to how one fighter at a given weight would fare against another fighter of a different weight assuming they were on a level playing field, and trying to change this notion by putting a minimum requirement like you have suggested is frankly ridiculous.
theres no way u r going to have a MINIMUM requirement .... but it should help...
i know u can disagree with me.. but dont try to come hre and tell that its ridicolous...
when in reality ridiculous is having celestino caballero on the list...
and not ppl like williams and shane mosley...
thats how riddiculous my oppinion can be....
how about the oppinons of the ones who MAKE THE LIST..
not saying that u are wrong... but just like me...U ARE HALF RIGHT.
when u do something HYPOTETICAL.. u will never be 100 % sure.
thats why we have thousands of p4p list..Comment

But its very flawed, nobody can picture all fighters being the same size. The same reason haters knock JMM going up in weight because they feel he will be slower and weaker is the same notion behind if every fighter was the same size. Which way up or down would you envision each fighter, either way they will lose some aspects of what he know them as.Comment

If Juanma Lopez KO's Izzy, Raffy and say Gonzalez in his next 3 fights he is way up there no? Thats without changing divisions.
Moving up through a division is a good accomplishment and has to be considered when making these lists but i dont think its fair to penalise fighters for not moving up or for not being ABLE toComment

With respect, what p4p means 'for you' isn't important. What p4p actually is is a comparison of fighters across the different weight divisions. A HW should have just as much chance to be 'p4p' as anyone else if they are good enough. It's hard for heavyweights simply because as they can't move between divisions they are unlikely to fight other p4p candidates, but a totally dominant (undisputed) HW should be there, providing the division has some other quality fighters in it.Comment
