It's too bad that Rafa Marquez's next fight is sewed up because that would have been a good fight for Juan Ma. But I'd be rootin for Rafa even though I'm impressed by Lopez as an exciting young fighter. I always like to see battle-torn warriors defy the odds. I don't like it for their health though. Especially if Rafa takes even more damage than what he suffered in the Izzy trilogy. I want those two guys to be in good shape in life after the wars they gave us. They deserve it.

Antonio Escalante's team has been offered the fight according to a source close to him. They weren't sure if they were going to take it, but Antonio really wants the fight. The camp wasn't so sure if they should jump into a title shot the next fight. They were thinking 1 or 2 more, but they might do it anyway. I'll have an answer by wednesday
