Whether Haye was KD legitimately or not is pretty academic. He certainly wasn't hurt and soon after he hit his opponent for a home run over the fence.

    What more can he do?

If Wlad wins decisively, his haters won't change. Many people predicted Peter, Byrd, Brock, and even Austin would defeat him (check the old polls here).

After the fight, Haye will be known as a bum and the haters will give Wlad no credit, as usual.

I never said he was hurt.

I'm just saying it was either a slip, or a flash knockdown.

Either way, it didn't effect him and he went back in there and treated Barret the same way he'd been treating him for the previous 4 rounds ; like a man who didn't belong in the same ring as him.

Don't get me wrong. I like David. I'm pulling for him against Wlad.

Aren't we all. It's either that or some more looooooong years of Klitschko boredom.

like most have said it depends on how the fight goes. I'd give Wlad credit for being able to beat someone thats a lot faster than he is no matter what though. I never thought Wlad was a poor heavyweight anyway, just a boring (unt in the ring.

On another note, would any of you think Haye would have a legit claim to be in the top 10p4p as the undisptuted cruiserweight champ who became heavyweight champ if he wins? I wouldn't, but if he beat Vitali in the next fight I'd have him in there.

I didn't see any feet geting tangled there.

Barrett was in retreat, Haye rushed after him and got tagged with a nicely timed hook that dropped Haye.

Maybe Haye's feet slipped on the canvas. That's a possibility.

But there was no tangling of feet.
the nicely timed hook you're talking about barely even landed!! haye rushed in as you said but his poor foot positioning meant he was off-balance.

the fact that he turned around and TKO'd Barret so soon after the KD/slip shows you that he was never hurt.

8, haye is undisputed champions of the division directly below wlad and he outgrew it.

haye is as legitimate a challenge as a good belt holder at heavyweight.

Given his (short and very successful) CW to HW career, plus him toppling the top 2 people in his division (especially Vitali, seriously, imagine if Haye actually knocked him out ..) then yeah he'd be a p4p fighter imo. If he beats Wlad in brilliant fashion i'd start to think about reasons to get him in the list, if he dominated a rematch then i'd shoehorn him in at like 9 or 10. If he did that and battered Vitali into submission/retirement, then hell yeah he'd get a nice high slot imo. All of that compounded by his size, weight and reach deficits.

He never said he was hurt. You don't have to be hurt to get knocked down. Just stunned.

I would give him as much credit as a fighter deserves for beating a fighter that he is supposed to beat.
