NY Boxing Examiner: Mayweather Mafia? Don King was whacked like Moe Greene

The Mayweather Marching & Chowder Society, which is so small it could hold its annual convention inside a phone booth, has taken on a more sinister air.
Evidently, some of the most ardent Pretty Boy fanatics are now calling themselves “the Mayweather Mafia.”
Oooh, I am sure that the knees of Coach Freddie Roach and Manny Pacquiao are knocking.
Especially when Pacquiao just blasted out a guy from England who was turned from “Hitman” Hatton into “Hurtman” Hatton in just under six blistering minutes.
In case you missed it, there is an HB replay tonight (Saturday) which is paired with an Insomniacs Special, the surely sleep-inducing Tarver-Dawson rematch which no one not named Tarver wanted to see.
But, you know me Al, I will play along with this Mayweather Mafia concept. Let’s go with the PBF gangsta flow.
Who then are the Godfather saga characters in the runup to the inevitable Pacquiao-Mayweather fight?
Round up the unusual suspects.
To kick this off I want to start with Vegas operator and former Murder Inc. hitman Moe Greene.
Moe dissed Fredo Corleone, that moron, and then he made the mistake of dissing Michael.
“I made my bones when you were going out with cheerleaders,” Greene snarled at Michael.
It was not long after that Moe took his last massage along with bullets through his eyeballs.
Don’t blame the masseur, he didn’t rub Michael the wrong way, Moe did that.
In the Pac-May or May-Pac saga, I make Vegas operator Don King the Moe Greene character.
Mayweather flirted with DK to get himself a financial raise out of HBO and Golden Boy for the July 18 Juan Manuel Marquez fight.
Once that mission was accomplished, Mayweather lost Uncle Don’s phone number.
So that makes King the eliminated like Moe Greene character.
