He should retire or just fight other old boxers.

Dawson needs to take on opponents his own age, like Cloud or the winner of Diaconu-Pascal.
Dawson needs to fight Glen Johnson first before anything else. Dawson would have to wait a month for the the winner of Diaconu-Pascal, then wait another 3 more months to get in the ring. Cloud ruined his chances to fight Dawson by not making himself active, the IBF would probably allow Dawson to have a voluntary defense because of that.

Tarver was slow last night but he did give a young champion in Dawson a good fight. Dawson clearly won but Tarver didn't give it to him easy.

If Tarver wants to continue he should.

He isn't what he used to be but he can still make tough fights for some guys and would be good for up and comers in the future.

The lightheavtweight division is so bad outside of Hopkins, Johnson, and Dawson that Tarver could probably win some fights with lower top-ten guys. Erdei is a joke. I'll bet Tarver could whip his ass if he can get a fair shake over in Germany and it would be a nice payday for him. The Germans are the same boxing fans that worshipped Sven Ottke. I think Tavoris Cloud could be the goods but he needs to get busy and fight somebody before he becomes forgotten about.

Tarver could probably beat a lot of second tier guys out there right now but I know he doesn't want to settle for mediocrity. He should just retire.

I'd like him to get to 30 wins and retire. He seems a lot better then a fighter with only 27 wins.
