I doubt Marquez moves up to LW sooner then he did since the only reason he moved up to LW was to get that 3rd fight with Pac. Not saying Marquez nevers moves up to LW but for sure he doesnt do it sooner then he has. Marquez should thank Pac for giving him recognition in their close fights and also letting Marquez chase him up to LW. Without Pac, Marquez would still be at SFW fighting guys like Soto, maybe John, Guererro. Also without Pacquiao NO WAY MARQUEZ CONSIDERS A MAYWEATHER FIGHT. Thats for damn sure.
same thing could be said about pac, he should thank barrera and morales. barrera and morales had already made a name for themselves and some of their stardom rubbed off on pac. it was the three mexican legends that allowed him to be where he is right now. he would have never been involved in 2 megafights these past few months. it goes both ways that its dumb when pac fans bring up the issue "where would jmm be with out pac"

Pacquiao's career would still have likely flourished based on his victory over Barrera but I think that Pacquiao slowly became a better fighter after the fights with Marquez and Morales.

Marquez would have probably not been as big as he is right now. The fight with Pacquiao showed us how tough and technically gifted Juan Manuel Marquez is.
